LightForce® High Intensity Laser
What is LightForce® High Intensity Laser?
LightForce Therapy, also known as photobiomodulation is an advanced treatment using high intensity laser energy to reduce pain, support tissue healing, and decrease inflammation. It is a non-invasive, drug-free therapy that is used worldwide by physical therapists, doctors, and elite sports teams.
What conditions can it help with?
Laser therapy can be used to treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions including:
Back and neck pain
Tendinopathies (e.g. rotator cuff, Achilles, elbow)
Osteoarthritis (e.g. knee, hip)
Ligament injuries
Plantar fasciitis
Headaches and nerve-related pain
Bursitis and capsulitis
Post-surgical recovery
Sports injuries and overuse conditions
How does High Intensity Laser work?
The laser delivers concentrated light energy deep into muscles, tendons and joints, stimulating cellular activity to help your body heal itself—this process is known as photobiomodulation. Most patients describe it as a gentle warming sensation during treatment.
What to expect
During treatment, you’ll feel a gentle warmth over the area as the laser is applied using a smooth, rolling handpiece. Treatment is personalised based on your condition, skin type and body region. Some people need a few sessions for best results, and most notice significant improvement quickly.
Benefits of High Intensity Laser:
Non-invasive and pain-free treatment
Reduces pain and inflammation quickly
Accelerates tissue repair and regeneration
Improves blood flow and nerve function
Short treatment times—typically 4–7 minutes
Is it safe?
Yes. LightForce Therapy is a Class IV medical laser treatment, used safely worldwide. Our physiotherapists are fully trained in dosage and safety guidelines, and protective eyewear is used throughout.
